TPACK

How well does the use of this technology may support your teaching strategies in this activity?
For the TPACK lesson plan technology helped me alot, i wouldnt have been able to cover as much content if i hadnt used the technology. It was very helpful.

How effectively does the use of this technology enhance students' understanding of the learning from your particular content in this activity?
In my opinion the technology made the activity so much more easy for the class to understand and as a whoel enriched/enhanced the lesson.

What are your strategies and why do you think your strategies are appropriate to teaching this specific content? What makes you believe it would help your students comprehend this particular content?
My strategy for my lesson was to bring something i found very special and have amazing memories of and i wanted to try to share a little bit of those loving memories with the class. Another strategy i had was to show them just how intricate the process of making noodles by hand really is. I believe this helps students learn because when i was a student i alwasys found it easier to like a topic that the teacher was very interested in and had strong feelings about.

What would be some conceptions and pre-conceptions that students of different ages and backgrounds bring with them when learning this particular content? What would be concern about students' prior knowledge, experiences, motivation?
Well i think that people who have never had the experience of having homemade noodles would not be able to realize just how different the flavors are compared to noodles you buy in a package at the store.  think some of the people that eat noodles dont try to grasp the depth of the flavors that are in them, as well as not realizing the mastery of making noodles is an extremely difficult thing.

What main instructional strategies would this technology use serve in you activity? How would using the technology support the way you teach this activity?
It allowed me to show the students how noodles are made by a master noodle maker as well as let me give them information about noodles that they may not have known before

What different classroom management strategies might you consider when using this technology in the activity?
I would have to tell the students they were only allowed to follow the activity on the technology, no matter if its on an ipad or a computer. and if they were on anything different then i would take away that privelige.

How would using this technology enhance the way the content is represented in your activity?
Using this technology enhances the way the content is represented in multiple ways, a few of which are they can look back at the content at any point in time, they can take as long as they need with it, and some people read and retain imformation better from a screen and a video.

In what different ways students practice or understand the content in your activity that would otherwise not be possible without the use of the technology? In addition to motivational benefits, what else can students do with this technology as they are learning the content?
WIthout this technology the students would not have been able to watch a master make noodles and have the opportunity to go back and watch the video at any point in time. Students can use technology in all sorts of ways that people now days dont realize was not even possible 10 years ago.

  1. I loved the noodles! Your lesson was interesting which also made it exciting. Because you had extensive knowledge of your subject content your teaching had great points and smooth transitions. My only criticism would be you speak quite fast, which I do also because of nerves. Very enjoyable!

  2. I really liked your lesson! It was super interesting to learn the history by the noodles so many people love. You taught the information very well and transitioned into each fact very well. I couldn't really see anything to critique about just keep practicing and make sure to keep a good speaking pace.

  3. I liked your presentation! It was awesome seeing how noodles were made and how fast they can be made! The only thing I would say about the presentation is to have more eye contact! Other than that, good presentation!

  4. I love that this lesson was very personal to you, it's something that you are passionate about. Most people never think about the history of foods. It was very interesting to see how the noodles were made. Keep up the good work!

  5. Your story with your aunt captivated our attention in the beginning! You did a good job to present this topic and it would be more fun if we had the real dough to make noodles! You had a good choice of apps in your teaching!
